Since the weather was too bad to go skiing, we decided to head up with Dan's family to their cabin in Shingletown. The cabin is really a house, but it's pretty far down some dirt roads and, even with all-wheel drive, we got stuck going in and then got completely stuck coming out. Before all that happened though, we got a chance to play in the snow with the dogs and do some sledding. It really is beautiful up there.
Enjoy!

Merry Christmas!
What a wonderful (and fast) Christmas we had this year! We both started off at the Spiteri family dinner in Santa Rosa on the 21st, then Julie went to Sacramento to celebrate her birthday and Christmas with her family on the 22nd and Dan went to his Mom's in Livermore. Then after Christmas Dan and Julie both went up to Redding to visit Dan's family and see some snow!
Here are a few of the pictures to mark the occasion.

Escape from Halloween
Since we had no plans for getting dressed up this year and going about trick-or-treating, Julie and I decided to have a little weekend get-a-way in Marin. We left after work on Friday and drove up the coast to Stinson Beach. We knew the weather was going to be "bad" (rainy), but this is perfect and defining of us, as we always seem to go to popular places during the rain. We like it this way though because when the weather gets bad, everyone else stays in doors and we get everything to ourselves. Good boots are the key to having a good time.
Here's a quick little stop looking at San Francisco on Halloween as a cruise ship heads out to sea.

Softball Season Summer '08
Thanks to my friend Ray who works at NASA Ames here in Mountain View for a great year. Julie and I had a blast. Hopefully we'll get to play on the team next year! Here are some pics and videos from the season (including my one home-run ball, sa-weet!).
